Square Off Friday

Why men cheat. There was a cool Doc Zone episode on last night about this…and researchers pretty much have nailed it down to a gene thing and a fundamental hard wired caveman response.

It’ll be an interesting discussion. Join us on CHCH channel 11 at 5:30.

This one can be summed up in 20 seconds. Men cheat because it’s in the DNA of every male, of every species, on every continent. Spawn. Keep the species going.

Except lions. They just lie there and make the women do all the work.

I want to come back as a lion because this gig just ain’t working so well for me.

  2. Zena says:

So we can presume that women don’t cheat?

    Snort…

And if they do, it’s for different biological reasons than men?

    Double snort…

    • No, no, no. Females cheat for exactly the same biological reasons. But they recognize that there’s a certain responsibility that comes with the act. Males just have the fun and head out to hunt and scavenge. And when they come back, if they don’t like the kid, they just eat it. Two birds… one stone.

I really don’t understand why DoubleDay keeps declining my book on evolution.

      • Zena says:

Females eat their young too: where do you think the saying “I brought you into this world, and I can take you out of it too” originated? Harried mothers from the dawn of time have secured their kids’ obedience with that very prospect.

The cannibalistic tendencies of siblings, is, of course, another matter altogether…

  3. Kerry says:

Makes you wonder how many men are raising children that aren’t actually their’s ….
I read a study done in Africa once and it was very high ….. Of course a South African woman did invent the ” Rape Condom ” . And there are lions aplenty there .
